Karaoke Hour was born

Rachel and Max booked a pretty full-on day of live music with us at The Normans Venue in York, from the choir to sing Rachel down the aisle to an 8-piece band for the evening.
In pre-planning, Rachel laughed and said I know it’s cheesy, but I’ve dreamed of having karaoke where people dress up with silly props and just have fun. Our response was of course, well, lets make this happen, and Karaoke Hour was born! Guests sent in the songs, and we pre-arranged the Karaoke schedule. Hosted by the guitarist in the band, it was an absolute hit from start to finish. Now we wouldn’t recommend Karaoke for the whole evening, but as a section, it really added something special and many memorable moments occurred.
Running order:
1pm – Ceremony – choir on balcony singing bride down the aisle
2pm – Drinks reception in the courtyard – Acoustic duo 45 minute set
7pm – Cake cut and First Dance + Band Set 1
8pm – Karaoke Hour
9pm – Food
9.30pm – Band Set 2
10.30pm – DJ and Sax Set (20 minutes)
DJ until MIDNIGHT
